Volunteer Roles – Various including Snakehall Saturdays

As a people focused charity we are always open to volunteering opportunities; you may wish to join our busy teams working alongside our core provision to gain experience or give something back when you can see your efforts are needed and appreciated.

We host Snakehall Saturdays – a supported horticultural session on Saturday mornings throughout the growing season (March to November) working on our 18 acre organic farm with a team of amazing volunteers and a staff member on hand to show you the plants from the weeds. This initiative came from our Covid era where we needed to keep our farm growing even in lockdown, great opportunities can arise from challenging times! Our small band of Snakehall Volunteers use this session to keep fit, enjoy the outdoors, fill their lungs up with our organic air or stretch their backs over our spinach. Whatever their personal motivation, our gates are open and our charity grows better for their support. The Saturday Volunteers even have a new verb; they come “Snaking” on Saturdays.

We will consider DofE Volunteers and student placements, particularly those enrolled in social care courses, we have limited capacity and a waiting list but please make contact with our Co-worker Manager on 01638 741 551 or email enquiries[@]prospectstrust.org.uk for more information.

At the heart of our socially inspiring charity we have a great team of Trustees. We meet as a full Board 6 times per year, including our AGM in November. • A belief that social enterprises are a successful vehicle for meeting our Co-workers’ needs
  • A business-like mindset but underpinned by not-for-profit values
  • An appetite for new ways of providing what our Co-workers need and the imagination to envisage how these might work

Our existing Trustees have a great range of skills and experience across the board so we would like to welcome new Trustees who can bring any of the following knowledge to our Management Committee Meetings:
