Cuppa and Chat Family and Carer Sessions
We host regular Family/Carer and Supporters sessions at our Snakehall Farm site and our Christmas Mingle at Prospects Unwrapped in Ely. These sessions are for families, carers and those who support our Co-workers. They are a little drop in session to meet with our Co-worker Manager (and other staff members, Trustees) as well as other carers and families. You have an opportunity to look around the facilities and chat with others about the provision we offer at The Prospects Trust. They are also a way for you to let us know what is going well, what we could improve and ideas to shape the future of what we do at The Prospects Trust too. If you would like to attend, please let Hannah know by calling on 01638 741 551 or emailing coworker.manager@prospectstrust.org.uk
Co-worker Newsletters
We send out our Co-worker Newsletters by email, hard copy and post them here for you to read:
Co-worker Experience
One of our values at The Prospects Trust is to ensure everyone has a voice that is heard. We listen to everyone to make sure our placements meet your needs. We have a Co-worker Manager, Hannah and Co-worker Reps – Jack & Kevin – Are all ears for you. They will take your ideas to our Managers and Trustee Team through our Co-worker Experience Committee. Your ideas help shape The Prospects Trust and make sure we are supporting people with additional needs well.
Co-worker Contact Details and Achievement Plans
Have you changed address, phone number, GP or have new or different care needs? Have you told us these changes? Please make sure that we are kept up to date with any changes to your contacts, your support or your needs. Let our Co-worker Manager know of any changes by chatting to Hannah, calling us on 01638 741 551 or emailing coworker.manager@prospectstrust.org.uk.
Annually we will do a Co-worker Record review but it helps us support our Co-workers best if we are kept in the loop.
We have a Co-worker Record Management system at The Prospects Trust, we use technology to keep a record of any communication, a daily log summary of the activities done each day and any Achievement Plans for our Co-workers. Ask Hannah for more details.
Co-worker Uniform
We have some branded work wear available to buy to help you fit into your Work Placement at The Prospects Trust. They are not compulsory but the uniform is tested by our teams to be Work Ready and perfect for all the different seasons and activities. You can order our branded uniform from: Charities – Sigma Embroidery & Printing If you need help ask Hannah in the office and she will guide you though the online process or you can bring in your money and we can help you order too. All the latest uniform, size guides and costs are available online with Sigma Embroidery & Printing, they are local too and offer a great collect from store option to reduce postage costs.
Co-worker Placement Contracts
Once we have agreed set days and your level of support needs, you will have a contract with us for your placement. We are happy to discuss what this means for you if you are a direct funder of your placement or if the Local Authority “the Council” or NHS/ICB pay for your placement at The Prospects Trust. We require a 4 week notice period to cancel your placement with us.
If you want to change your days or discuss your placement agreement with us we are always happy to have a review, with you and other carers/providers and social care teams.
Co-worker Reviews
We are happy to take part in your reviews, we can provide information if you agree to other health and care providers. We sometimes ask for a review if we feel we are not meeting your needs or we think you need some extra support or if you want to try something different. You can always ask for a review and we are happy to host reviews on site too.
Co-worker Attendance
If you are unable to attend your day due to planned holiday please give our Co-worker Manager (coworker.manager@prospectstrust.org.uk) as much notice as possible. If you are unable to attend on the day due to sickness, transport issues or other reasons please call us on 01638741551 (leave a message on the answerphone if outside office hours). If we don’t have a reason for your absence we will make a call to check in to see how you are and if there are any problems we can help you with.
If you arrive to placement but are unwell we may ask you to go home as we work with lots of other people with health needs and we always want to keep everyone healthy and well at work.
