Prospects Trust Pie Face Challenge 2026

When a Co-worker raises a challenge our Support Staff rise to it! We have Co-workers who face challenges everyday and we help them overcome those with care and compassion, awareness and support.  When one of our Co-workers came to us with his wish to raise awarenss of Diabetes in a very unique way we of course said Lets Do It!  His idea was to make it fun and raise awareness of Diabetes Week with a Cream Pie Face Off.  Support Worker Maddie V Co-worker Manager Hannah will go head to head on Tuesday 9th June – 50p a vote and the most votes WINS (or actually loses) a cream pie to their face.

But we wanted to raise your awareness of: Diabetes Week 2026

8 out of 10 people living with diabetes say they’ve faced negative attitudes because of their diabetes – people passing judgement, making sweeping statements, or blaming and shaming people living with diabetes.

This is diabetes stigma. And it causes real harm to millions.

That’s why we’re on a mission to ‘Strike Out Stigma’.

To show people that nobody chooses diabetes. That it isn’t anyone’s fault. And that by changing the way we talk about diabetes, together we can create a world where diabetes does no harm.

Weigh in Weigh in – Zero-Waste Heavyweights in Ely

Prospects Trust at Snakehall Farm has been the home of “naked” cucumbers since 1989. For 30 years we have never shrink wrapped our cucumbers and we have always sold locally grown organic produce direct to our customers in our little “veg shed” on the farm.

Now we are bringing our old idea to Ely. By September 2019 our Ely customers will be able to source their local, organic, eco and seasonal products plastic free in a brand new shop – Prospects Unwrapped.

We have just purchased the most amazing scales and till system to make this unpackaged way to shop easy peasy (fingers crossed). You will bring your own containers, weigh & tare, print label, fill and weigh again – then repeat! Don’t worry we will always have a helpful staff & trainee on hand to help.

We have also been donated this rather eye catching retro scale – as a feature of our shop! Don’t worry trading standards our new scales are much more accurate than this.
